Little Thing Magazine is everything I want in a magazine-  gorgeous clothes, innovative photoshoots and indie designers....aesthetically it is just my cup of tea! Published since 2008, Little Thing is my favourite Chinese publication. They also have an adorable concept shop where I dropped of a delivery off Book of Deer stock yesterday! The shop is located in mid-town Shen Zhen within a complex of refurbished factory buildings called OCT-LOFT. It is an unexpected creative oasis nestled in a bustling, fast-paced city.

A cobbled road within OCT-LOFT..The area is a network of spacious galleries, cute cafes and design shops. It was a miserable rainy day so we were glad to get inside the bright, colourful interiors of Little Thing Shop! Spot Book of Deer on the rail! I love the cute displays inside the shop, an eclectic mix of vintage curios, quirky accessories and colourful clutter! It's probably for the best this shop is a bit far from me or else I would have no pocket money left. The shop stocks a number of Chinese and international designers and artists including two personal favourites of mine- tba and Carrie Chau. If you are ever in Shen Zhen get yourself down to OCT-LOFT and see for yourself how creativity is being fostered in modern-day urban China! I met the lovely Adele from HK Magazine last week. We had a nice chat in the upstairs room of Daydream Nation and she asked me all sorts of questions about fashion. She asked me where I go to shop and be inspired... I wish I had a more sophisticated answer but Mong Kok is still my shopping haven, does that make me sound 15? Not only is it a cross-section of all the fashion trends in Asia, it's the best place to be informed of all the layers of influences in local pop culture. The organised chaos and sensory overload is very stimulating and re-energizing on days when you're just jaded by your computer screen!
