Shopping malls in Hong Kong are no rare thing, large, cooling oasis' to escape to when the HK heat just gets too much! They can be a bit uniformed though, created from a safe formula of white marbled flooring, mirrored walls and predictable lines of big brand names. K11 Art Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui is refreshingly different with its eclectic mix of shops and revolving exhibitions. Often playing host to pop-culture artists (tokidoki, COGOO) it also champions lesser know independent creatives and designers. Our local retailer Daydream Nation set up shop earlier this year with an adorable corner housing a range of local designer wares alongside their own collections. I am super thrilled to have Book of Deer on the rails of such a popular shopping spot, I keep finding excuses to go and visit!
