B.O.D Press - Refinery29
I was delighted to find an article on our SS/13 collection 'Camp Book of Deer' on the Refinery29. This has to be one of Book of Deer's most exciting bits of press yet, Refinery29 has been a source of much distraction and procrastination for me over the years... I always find things to covet on there! Alison Baitz describes the Summer camp theme 10x better than I could...
"There are plenty of unofficial barometers in life to give us little hints that we’re getting older. One of the saddest is being just a little too old to hightail it off for sleepaway camp. While we won’t be sharing cabins with strangers or sleeping on the bottom bunk anymore, we can still dress the part. Enter: Book of Deer. he spring collection is clearly influenced by the best of camp — including the firefly-collecting and the Girl Scouting — what with its uniform-like silhouettes and animal embroideries. Dream of roasting marshmallows and pitching tents when the weather turns? Thanks to Book of Deer, you can wear your wishes on your tailored blouse. There’s even an awesome glow-in-the-dark print — inspired by all of the poor lightning bugs we trapped in our younger years — which is the ultimate sartorial add-on to any campsite. Now, if only you still had Jared's phone number so you could see if he's up for a quick walk around the lake..holding hands, of course."
