I was very lucky to be interviewed for a WWD article by Joyce Man uncovering the reasons why Hong Kong designers are starting up online. Book of Deer is proud to be a member of the internetting league of indie designers, I have enjoyed being able to reach customers in all little corners of the globe. Casting my net online also allows me to interact more organically with Book of Deer girls, find out what is brewing aesthetically among those that share my taste for cute, whimsical and nostalgic fashion. It made perfect sense to me that the internet would be my launching pad, after all it is through my endless hours of web surfing that I discovered my own favourite designers, illustrators, photogtaphers and all-round curators of pretty things. x
