Coffee

As the year draws to a close I take a bit of time to reflect on my personal and professional experiences over the past 12 months. 2015 was kind to me, from tradeshows to bigger orders and even more customers around the world there's an awful lot to be grateful for. My most exciting moment was seeing Book of Deer stocked at Anthropologie.
I want to say a big thank you to all my customers for supporting this little business of mine. To know Book of Deer is being worn and styled by such cool girls around the world fills me with awe and gratitude. 2015 was a wonderful year for discovering friends and style heroines on Instagram, the Internet has connected me with like-minded girls and creatives around the world and I really appreciate how small our world can be.
As I enter 2016 waist-deep in a sea of lucky charms (huge SS16 collection theme hint) I am excited to see what this year will bring me. I suppose this independent designer gig doesn't actually get much easier or less daunting but I certainly gain more confidence as the seasons pass. At the beginning of 2015 I was flapping about in spirals of self-doubt, but I can now look back at those moments of panic with the knowledge that there was really nothing to worry about. Problems will continue to sprout from unforeseen places but I feel that I am infinitely better at handling them, this must come from experience and advanced age! My resolution for 2016 is to stop being such a worry wart and to keep an organised diary (no more scraps of paper).
I'm thinking of you, my dear readers this evening...wishing you all a very happy new year and the best of everything for 2016. May this year bring you love, peace, good health and all that your heart desires! I'll be bringing you a new season of Book of Deer very soon!
Christmas prep...
A beautiful outfit post from my dear blogger pal Katie of Coeurs De Foxes, featuring our glow-in-the-dark Fimm Dress.
"The dress I'm wearing on those photos is very important for me. This was a little surprise-gift from my friend who is also a designer. I love her artwork, because it is so... hm, I don't even know how to name it, there is no proper word... Her artwork is kind of usual but well it has `that something`, that something I love so it much about. This time this `this something` is even much better, because this dress... shines in the dark ;) ..." ~Katie
